You may have noticed but probably not - Carol Loveland and Sue Pitiger are serving as co-presidents of the Norwich Women’s Club this year. Woo-hoo for us! 

 

Thanks to Abby Crossen, chair, and Kristen Coles and Marilyn Spitz, able committee members on Hospitality, we had a great FALL PARTY at Carol Loveland’s house. The “special cocktail” beefed up the fun and the food was great, but really, it was just seeing old and new friends again. We’ve already had two COFFEE AND CONVERSATIONS, always on the first Monday of the month, great for a quick 10-11 AM visit at the Norwich Inn. Sandie Anderson organizes these and always brings her fabulous cookies. Thanks, Sandie.

 

Board meetings have resumed and we’re delighted that almost every slot is filled. Even better, we have several new faces on the board as well as many serving on off-board committees.  

 

We’re sure many of you know that we lost two long-time NWC members within the last few months. Mary Ann Holbrook was the head of our garden committee for almost twenty years. And Inge Brown - well, Inge never missed a party, an achievement we think we share! As with all active NWC members’ deaths, we donate a book to the NPL in their memory.

 

Coming up for all of us:

WOMEN, WIT AND WISDOM -  better known as the Three W’s, on Tuesday, November 18, 7:00 PM. A new series of programs at the Norwich Inn, will feature a speaker, a cash bar, and a bit of nibbling. First up - Menopause!  Look for details soon.
